Happy 2019

It might be a bit late for this, but it’s never to late, right? So please forgive my delay and receive this wish from the bottom of my heart. I wish you everything, health, happiness, but especially the wisdom of making the right decisions.

It was a long and overwhelming year, especially for me. I had lots of events more or less happy and more or less welcome, but they have passed. I am here, we are here with good and bad, with final year resolutions and with plans for the next 365 days to come. But I am sure all of you are happy of what you have accomplished. If not, you should be. You have accomplished to keep loving, to keep working, to keep having friends and put a plate on the table. Remember, happiness comes from small things.

Going back to 2018, I had some plans I wanted to accomplish, but not all were successful. But some of them were.

I will start with the goal of reading not for the number but for the quality. And indeed I read wonderful books, I read for the pleasure of reading and not for the goal of reading many books.

About the most interesting books that I have read this year, I can mention “The alternative hypothesis”, “Antic Hay” and “The southern highway”. The are the books that had an impact over me, that made me appreciate life more and love what I have.

Another book that I value is “Heal your wounds and find your true self”. It wasn’t in my plan reading it, but I discovered it in a moment when I most needed it. It helped me discover myself. Get to know me better, understand me and the others better.

And last but not least, I was impressed about “Disconnect”, a novel written by a young Indian author. You can read it on his own personal blog if you want to read it.

Regarding this year, 2019, I think my plan is to have no plan. Just go with the flow. Read what comes to my hand and just take my time. I usually tried to read as fast as possible just to write new articles on the blog, but I realised that this way I can’t enjoy my books properly. So this year I will change the strategy. I will take my time reading, even if this means writing more seldom than before. I assume this in order to write better, cleaner articles for you to enjoy. I think this approach suits me better.

And finally, this year I will try to be happier, to develop myself and to learn from my mistakes. To try to live for myself the same way I live for others. To understand that I am important too and that if I cannot help myself, I cannot help the others.

I wish you a happy new year and to be as beautiful as always this year also.
